To enhance our membership services and arrive in the electronic 21st century, the Colorado State Soccer Association (CSSA) will go online for annual league, team, and player registration for the upcoming 2011-2012 soccer year and beyond. CSSA has selected Got Soccer as our online registration service provider. The online registration system will be ready for use the week of August 1, 2011. Links and instruction will be posted here.
As with all improvements, there is an associated cost. Annual player registration fees must be increased to cover the cost of the transaction fees that will be charged by the online system. The annual player registration fee is increased to $25 per player. The annual team registration fee of $60 will remain the same. Teams MUST register and pay $60.00 annual team registration fee before any player can register.
As a reminder, the current fee structure covers the following per player costs:
$ 9.50 per player accident/medical secondary insurance coverage up to $5,000 per claim
$ 3.50 United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) annual player membership fee
$ 2.00 United States Soccer Federation (US Soccer) annual player membership fee
$ 5.00 CSSA annual player membership fee (covers office operations, rent, communications,
legal/accounting services)
$ 5.00 as of August 1, 2011, per player online registration system transaction fees and player card
mailing services
$25.00 total annual player registration fee beginning 2011-2012 soccer year
Online registration will accept debit and credit cards and eChecks for payment. Payment can also be mailed or dropped off at the office after establishing your online account. For 2011-2012 soccer year, player passes will be generated by CSSA once team and players have registered online and will be batch mailed to the team manager. CSSA is working toward elimination of player cards for future soccer years.
Everyone will use the online registration system. To avoid delays, CSSA encourages team managers and players to perform team and player registrations via your personal computers from the comfort of your home or office over the Internet instead of making the time consuming and gas guzzling drive to the CSSA office. CSSA will continue to maintain its regular office hours to accommodate those who still want to walk in; these teams and individuals will still be required to enter their registration data into the online registration system via a computer hook-up at the CSSA office. Delays in registration at the CSSA office are likely within two weeks of league play start dates.
Because team and player information is linked to individual accounts, everyone will enter their contact data anew, including digital photos for player passes. Every player must register individually. CSSA will no longer generate or accept team or individual player registration forms. Note that all registrants MUST provide a valid e-mail address to successfully register.
Player passes currently in your possession will not be valid after August 31, 2011. Please destroy them after that date. CSSA will issue new 2011-2012 player passes, valid from date of issue (after August 1, 2011) through August 31, 2012.
Team managers will be able to generate team rosters each week for check in with referees at scheduled games.
